Autumn for me is the return to velvet, my most favourite cloth. I've spent months thinking about creating pieces that are as light as a feather, and now it's all about punchy colours, luxury and irredescense. John Donne said "In heaven, it is always Autumn"... what a lovely thought... a lovely thought..

We all have interesting bits and pieces, when assembled make something a little bit more special.
I sketch to tease ideas out, it helps me to problem solve and it's quite therapeutic. My sketches are usually small and in pen on watercolour paper, the textured paper adds to the feel. Mounted on a very old Ladies Handkerchief Box and surrounded with scarlet red satin backed crepe and magenta crepe handmade butterflies. The design is a larger version of my 'Ophelia' design.
